Dear Members/Supporters, after discussions with other National Front officials I have decided to stand down from my role as party chairman. It was a very proud day for me when I was appointed chairman in Nov 2015 but I believe that the party needs a chairman who is based in England rather than Scotland. The regular trips to England to chair meetings is beginning to have an affect on my personal life and with ever changing work patterns it is very difficult to actually have time for my family. I have tendered my resignation with the party directorate and I have confirmed that I will step down officially at the next directorate meeting in May. Looking to the future I can see a massive challenge in protecting Scotland’s future in the UK and I will be putting all my effort into stopping the break up of the UK. I will remain a paid up member of the party. I would like to thank all of those who have supported myself during my entire political career with the NF and may I wish you all the very best in the future. My immediate concern is the local council elections in Scotland in May and I will do my very best along with our other candidates to gain a respectable vote for the party.
Thank you for taking the time to read this statement.
