On an overcast wet September day NF patriots from Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire held a two minutes silence and laid flowers in Remembrance of local soldier Staff Sergeant Kevin Arthur Froggett, 2419666 Royal Corps of Signals. Staff Sergeant Froggett was killed in action on the 16th September 1989 by the IRA. Mr Froggett who was married with four children and was stationed in army barracks at Lisburn, Northern Ireland. Mr KA Froggett was shot by the IRA just after midnight, as he & a colleague repaired a telecommunication mast at Coalisland RUC base. Taking advantage of the bright moonlight, a sniper fired around thirty bullets into Staff Sergeant Froggett. According to locals, the two bullet riddled bodies dangled lifelessly from their safety harness lines, until other soldiers came and cut them down. A Coalisland IRA man was later arrested and charged with murder. Staff Sergeant Froggett was laid to rest at Birchwood Methodist Chapel in Somercotes, Derbyshire. Mr K A Froggett was buried with full military honours.
On Saturday 17th September 2016 West Mids National Front held their latest regional meeting in the Birmingham area. We had a good turnout from our members and we discussed the upcoming AGM and the NF Remembrance Day Parade in central London which the Midlands NF will be out in numbers to support these events as always. We also discussed the 50th anniversary next year this will be another superb event and a day all members will attend. We had sales and a raffle that raised funds for our branch and we booked our next meeting for November. We then close another successful meeting.
